Kyle Allon Bond, 34, born and raised in West Texas later to relocated to Walla Walla in 2012. I got my start in the metal and hardcore scene, performing in several bands and specializing in graphic design. In 2019, I opened Chrysalis Studios, a venue for hosting shows and a collective workspace for fellow artists. My work, created with urgency, embodies a state of panic and fluctuates between mania and avolition. It reflects personal calamity and existentialism, exploring societal boundaries and restrictions, and often leaves a sense of discomfort that mirrors human complexity. The raw emotions of loss and time are central to my art. I invite viewers to confront their own tribulations and start conversations about our shared human struggles, recognizing that these experiences need not be hidden. Through this reflection, viewers can find comfort in our collective resilience and understand that they are not alone.
